CySEC (Official website) is based out of Cyprus, Europe and is tasked with oversight of various investment companies and financial brokerages that are operating in and out of Cyprus. The CySec regulator is probably one of the most popular amongst forex brokerages and gained in popularity when Cyprus joined the European Union in 2004. CySec’s guidelines include the European MiFID European financial regulatory framework. Brokerages licensed by CySEC can operate, offering their financial services to most of Europe.
