FCA (Official website). Formerly known as the FSA (Financial service authority), the FCA is the financial regulator in the UK, tasked with regulatory oversight of the wholesale and retail financial firms operating from the UK. The FSA carries investigative and rule-making authority and can also impose bans and fines on financial services companies that do not adhere to the general terms laid out by the FCA.
