The flexibility comes from the fact that this strategy can be traded on any time frame. Meaning that if you use 1 hour charts for analysis, then you would trade 60 minute binary options expiring contracts or if you use the 15 minute charts, then you would be trading the 15 minute binary options expiring contracts.

Signals

For Call options

• Simply wait for the smiley face to be plotted below price
• Place a call option on the next candle open
• Depending on the time frame you are using the indicator on, set the expiry time to the same period

For Put options

• Wait for the smiley face to be plotted above price
• Place a put option the next candle open
• Select the binary option contract’s expiry time based on the chart interval that you are using

Examples

Call Option

• After the smiley face is plotted, buy a Call option on the next candle open
• Trade resulted in a profit for 60 minute expiry as the signal was taken from the 1 hour chart

Put Option

• After the smiley face is plotted above price buy a Put option on the next candle open
• Trade resulted in a profit for 60 minute expiry, same as the chart time frame

Strategy Tweaks and Tricks

SpikeBar Binary Options system could be improved by applying Bollinger Bands (20, 2) and trade only those signals where the signal is shown when price is outside the Bollinger band. The strategy on its own has a good success rate but is prone to false signals as well.
